JULY 5th – AUGUST 12th

Ages 3-5 and 6-11
Monday – Friday
9:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The Manitou School is excited for the return of our Summer Programs for the 2022 season!

In addition to traditional summer activities like crafts and organized games, our day programs offer a range of enrichment classes taught by local practitioners, including Spanish immersion, music, movement, art, farming, and explorations of the natural world. The Manitou Summer Program is designed for children to explore creative ideas, build positive relationships, and enhance communication skills in a nurturing learning environment. Facilitated by Manitou Staff and community professionals, our summer programs use a carefully crafted approach to engage every child.

Set on our beautiful campus in the Hudson Valley, our programs offer a timeless summer experience that takes full advantage of our school facilities, outdoor classrooms, and playgrounds.

Summer at Manitou runs from 9 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday (with the exception of Monday, the 4th of July – which is offered at a lower rate). There are two age-based programs per week:

  • Pre-K Program (ages 3-4)
  • School-Age Program (ages 5-11)
  • C.I.T. Program (ages 12-17) – scroll down for details on this program!

Tuition is $375 per week (with the exception of July 5-8th, which is $300).

A $25 sibling discount will be applied for each week that a family has two or more children enrolled.

There is an optional nap time after lunch for children in the Pre-K Program.

JULY 5-8: Beautiful Bugs ($300)

Calling all creepy crawlers! This week, campers explore the magical world of bugs. Activities range from building insect-inspired kites and creating our own butterflies to songs, games, and facts about these amazing creatures.

JULY 11-15: The World Around Us ($375)

Explore the plants, creatures, and geography of our home, the Hudson Highlands! Through songs, crafts, games, and more on Manitou’s beautiful campus, campers will foster a deeper relationship with the Hudson River landscapes and cultures– from indigenous history to modern environmental movements.

JULY 18-22: Make your Mark ($375)

Express yourself! Campers explore how to share their unique feelings, ideas, and imagination through art, acting, songs, and movement. We’ll create self-portraits and other expressive works that channel our unique selves into beautiful works of art.

**Registration is full for the Pre-K program this week. All new Pre-K registrants will be added to the waitlist.**

Welcome to the imagination station! This week, campers create their own magical world and dream up the creatures that live there. We’ll design sets, costumes, and props for our fantastical world and fill a map with songs, stories, art, and designs. All aboard!

AUGUST 8-12: The Amazon ($375)

Macaws and monkeys! Jaguars and piranha! From the murky estuaries to the jungle floor to the top of the canopy, campers will learn about the mighty ecosystem of the Amazon.
