Extended Care

Early Birds | Aftercare | Late Pick-Up Fees & Discounts

You can now register for extended care in your Manitou Popsicle account! (You can find instructions on how to set up your Popsicle parent portal here.)

Early Birds

7:30 AM to 8:50 AM (M-F)

Manitou offers early care for a limited number of enrolled students on a first come, first serve basis. There are two pricing tiers for early care: between 7:30 and 8:00 AM and after 8:00 AM.

Families should drop off students for Early Birds at the door by the Spanish classroom.

 

Prepaid / Regularly Scheduled Early Birds 

If your early care needs are consistent, we suggest that you sign up for regularly scheduled Early Birds at a discounted rate. You can register for Early Birds through Popsicle. Early Birds monthly prepaid pricing is based on the time of arrival (between 7:30 and 8:00 AM or after 8:00 AM).

7:30 – 8:00 AM Arrival = $28 a day (billed monthly)
After 8:00 AM Arrival = $17 a day (billed monthly)

In Popsicle, you can select your child’s arrival time, how many days a week, and which days. There is also a discount for registering for multiple days a week. If you sign up for prepaid early care, you will be billed monthly automatically in Popsicle regardless of absences. If you wish to unenroll from regularly scheduled Early Birds, please email aftercare@manitouschool.org at any time.

 

 

Drop-In Early Birds 

We offer drop-in early care after 8 AM depending on availability. Families must register for drop-in early care in Popsicle by 1 PM the previous day.

In Popsicle, you can now sign up and pay for a specific date in advance!

Drop in Early Birds After 8 AM = $20 a day

 

 

Aftercare

3:00 PM to 5:30 PM (M-F)

Manitou offers aftercare services to current enrolled students. Our aftercare allows time for children to have free play as well as time to read, create art, and do homework. 

Please provide your child with an extra nut-free healthy snack every day they are attending an afternoon enrichment class or aftercare. Snacks must be in a separate container clearly marked “Aftercare”. Snacks are not provided by the school.

 

Prepaid / Regularly Scheduled Aftercare

If your family has a consistent schedule and you know your aftercare needs in advance, you can sign up your child for regularly-scheduled aftercare at a discounted rate via our registration platform, Popsicle. There is also a discount for registering for multiple days a week. We will share detailed registration instructions the week of August 19th.

If you register for prepaid aftercare, you will be billed monthly automatically in Popsicle regardless of absences. If you wish to unenroll from regularly scheduled aftercare, please email aftercare@manitouschool.org.

 

Drop-In Aftercare

If you have occasional aftercare needs, you can register for one-off drop-in aftercare sessions through Popsicle. We ask that all drop-in aftercare registrations be completed no later than 12 PM the day of. To register for drop-in aftercare:

  1. Register for Drop-In Aftercare in Popsicle 
  2. Update your child’s dismissal method to “Aftercare/Enrichment” in Curacubby (view tutorial here)

If you need to make a change after 12 PM, please call the front office to ensure we receive the change. If changes are made in Popsicle / Curacubby after 12 PM, our admin team may not see them in time, so please make every effort to update us in advance!

The rate for drop-in aftercare is $38 a day.

 

 

 

Late Pick-Up Fees & Discounts

 

Late for School Dismissal Fee: Classroom teachers have other commitments and responsibilities at the end of the school day. If your child is scheduled to be picked up at the end of the school day and you are 10+ minutes late, your child will be sent to aftercare automatically. You will receive a bill for the drop-in aftercare rate ($38).

Late Enrichment Class Pickup Fee: Please make sure you pick your child up when their scheduled enrichment class ends. If you are 20+ minutes late to pick, you will be billed for the drop-in aftercare rate ($38). 

Late Aftercare Pickup Fee: Please ensure that your child is picked up by 5:30 pm sharp. If you are late, you will be charged a $38 fee. If you are late more than twice, Manitou reserves the right to withdraw your eligibility to participate in our aftercare program.

Discounts

Prepaid aftercare discounts:

If your register for 3+ days of aftercare a week, you will receive a discount on the daily rate in Popsicle.

Prepaid aftercare pricing for siblings:

We do not offer sibling discounts for aftercare.

Sibling Enrollment in Enrichment Classes:

  • There are NO sibling discounts for Enrichment Classes.
  • If two or more siblings are enrolled in enrichment classes on the same day, and one class ends 30 minutes later than the other, parents can pick both children up at the time dictated by the later class (up to 15 minutes after the later class ends). If they are picked up more than 15 minutes after the later class ends, both siblings will be charged the full drop-in aftercare fee.
  • If two or more siblings are enrolled in enrichment classes on the same day, and one ends MORE than 30 minutes later than the other, a prorated $10 per hour aftercare fee will be assessed for the student whose class ended earlier.
